CHESTER, NJ – On May 28, 2020, ARCHforensic’s Christopher D. Ling, AIA, NCARB and Timothy P. Ronan, PE teamed up with Raymond Dickey from Association Help Now, as panelists to present an informative webinar entitled “Understanding Construction Defects Related to Stucco, EIFS and Brick.” CMCA managers earned 1 continuing education credit for attending this webinar.
Mr. Ling and Mr. Ronan provided an in-depth overview of the building envelope, water damage areas and tips on how to visually identify deficiencies within the entire community. Vivid imagery and case studies illustrated their talking points. During the presentation, over thirty attendees followed a “transition” journey. They also learned about the documentation process, invasive and non-invasive inspections as well as navigating the litigation process.
According to Mr. Ling, “the webinar was chock-full of good information for managers about transitions where we gave managers ways of identifying problems associated with Brick, EIFS and Stucco. Having the ability to better identify these issues will help them better serve their associations, be more efficient and plan repair projects.”
