Joseph P. DeMaria, AIA
Joseph P. DeMaria, AIA is registered architect and professional planner with over 35 years of experience in the design and construction administration of commercial, institutional, religious, cultural, governmental, educational, hospitality and residential projects.
Mr. DeMaria directed his own architectural firm for 25 years. In addition, he has held partnership and associate positions in several architecture and engineering firms during his career.
Throughout his career, Mr. DeMaria gained vast experience in the integration of multiple design and engineering disciplines for complex projects together with the administration of contracts and building disciplines during the construction process.
He is skilled in construction risk analysis and building construction failure investigations, as well as conducting ASTM E2018-15 property condition assessments, transition engineering assessments, construction code reviews, ADA/barrier-free compliance reviews. Moreover, he has experience in fire protection design, along with the assessment and reconstruction of fire damaged buildings. A significant percentage of his work consists of church projects including the repair and reconstruction of historic religious buildings.
Mr. DeMaria has been at the forefront of sustainable design for solar power, completing numerous installations of roof top and ground array projects with the Sun Farm Network. He is also a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). He is a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology School of Architecture where he received the Most Outstanding Architectural Student Award in 1980.
